Produced by Jeremy Fobb & Zachary Lee DEbedout
Log Line:
When a mysterious psychosis plagues the working colony of a far-off forest moon, an industrial therapist is sent to unravel the mystery, but his time there makes him reflect on his life.
Synopsis:
Based on the short story "Piper in The Woods" By Philip K. Dick, Dr. Henry Harris, is an alienated industrial therapist who works for an interstellar water bottle company. Harris is sent to investigate a strange phenomena happening at one of the company's filtration facilities on the moon of Jirba. Many of the plant workers are now claiming to be plants and refuse to do their jobs. Harris manages to learn from one of the workers that there are these mysterious beings in the forest called the Pipers and that the Pipers taught the workers how to become plants. Harris is denied entry into the forest by his superior, but determined to solve the mystery, Harris decides to sneak in. Harris learns that the Pipers don't actually exist but instead an indigenous society of hunter gatherers who have modified the forest into a food garden are trying to convince the workers not to steal the water. Harris theorizes that the alienated workers, are taken aback by the seemingly simple existence of the Jirbans and are coping with their jobs by becoming "plants". Harris heads back to the main facility to notify his superiors of whats happening. But is taken aback by his superiors threats to genocide the natives. Feeling impotent and complicit, Harris can't help but hear the industrial water pipe sounds that have taken over Jirba and succumbs to becoming a plant himself.

The Story
A Knocking In The Woods is a found footage film about 22-year-old Matt and his three friends. Before Matt’s best friend Ryan gets married and moves away, he attempts to regain their lost friendship as they embark on one last group camping trip. When the group arrives at the campsite and finds that it’s closed, they make the mistaken decision of sneaking into an off-route campsite to stay the night. After messing with a door built in the forest, late into the night, they awaken to mysterious sounds from within the woods. When Matt investigates and finds Rachel is missing and Sebastian in a fugue state, it leads the group back to the mysterious door. From this point despite their efforts to save each other they are horrifically picked off one by one as they attempt to escape the forest.
